Structure
• Flame generator: usually composed of a combustion seat, airway, flame hole, flame cover and igniter, etc. The gas enters the airway of the combustion seat through the gas pipe, then sprays out from the flame hole, and is ignited by the igniter to form a flame.
• Conveying device: including conveyor belt and transmission positioning device. The transmission positioning device is composed of rotating motor, flywheel, transmission wheel and positioning pile. The rotating motor drives the flywheel to rotate, so that the transmission wheel and positioning pile rotate accordingly, thereby driving the plastic bottle to rotate, ensuring that all sides of the bottle body are evenly flame treated.
• Fixed frame: composed of base, fixed shaft, limit block and combustion tube, which can control the height of the flame processor to adapt to plastic bottles of different specifications.
• Fire baffle: fixed at the combustion port of the flame processor by adjusting bolts, the flame height can be adjusted to ensure the flame treatment effect.
Principle
The flame treatment machine uses high-temperature flame to cause the macromolecules on the surface of the plastic bottle to undergo oxidation reaction, produce polar groups, change the structural form of surface molecular aggregation, increase surface energy, thereby improving the adhesion of the plastic bottle surface to paint, adhesives, etc., and can also remove surface oil, release agent and other impurities.
Operation method
• Preparation: Ensure that the operating environment is safe, free of flammable and explosive items, and equipped with fire-fighting equipment; Operators wear protective equipment such as fire-proof clothing, protective gloves, goggles, etc.; Prepare the plastic bottles to be processed, check whether their surfaces are clean, and remove impurities such as oil stains first; Check whether the various components of the flame treatment machine are normal, whether the gas pipeline is tightly connected, and whether there are leaks.
• Parameter adjustment: According to the material, size and processing requirements of the plastic bottle, adjust the flame temperature, height, gas flow rate, and the residence time of the plastic bottle in the flame. Generally speaking, different materials require different flame temperatures and processing times. For example, the processing temperature of PET plastic bottles is relatively high, while the processing time of PE plastic bottles is relatively short.
• Loading and positioning: Insert the mouth of the plastic bottle upside down on the positioning pile on the conveyor belt to ensure that the plastic bottle is firmly fixed and can rotate freely with the positioning pile.
• Start processing: Turn on the power supply and gas valve of the flame treatment machine, ignite the flame, start the conveyor belt and rotating motor, and make the plastic bottle pass through the flame area slowly and evenly for flame treatment. During the treatment process, the surface treatment of the plastic bottles should be closely observed. If there is any abnormality, the machine should be stopped for inspection in time.
• Unloading and inspection: After the treatment is completed, turn off the power supply and gas valve of the flame treatment machine. After the flame is extinguished, remove the plastic bottle and check whether its surface treatment effect meets the requirements, such as whether the surface color is uniform, whether there is burns or deformation, etc. If the treatment effect is not good, the cause should be analyzed, and the parameters should be adjusted and re-processed.
The printing of polyolefin materials often encounters the problem of ink shedding. The main reason is that it is composed of non-polar molecules. The printer will first choose a special polyolefin ink. If the adhesion of the ink does not meet the requirements, then Consider pre-treating the product surface, and flame treatment is a common and effective method.
The most suitable products for flame treatment are some cylindrical plastic bottles, and the effect is satisfactory no matter whether solvent-based ink or UV ink is used. The flame treatment machine for plastic bottles is composed of a flame generating device and a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is often equipped with a rotatable support cone. The bottle can be inserted into the cone and enter the flame treatment head with the conveyor belt. The inside of the flame treatment head is filled with compressed air and Combustible gas, after ignition, sprays out a flame with pressure, which can oxidize the surface of the bottle.
